Real Food Story: Terrica Smith

We are excited to introduce to you one of our clients, Terrica Smith, who is an aspiring author and the Scheduling Director for speaker and author, Shannon Ethridge. We’ve seen Terrica’s health and demeanor change before our very eyes and had to share it with you.

Here’s Terrica’s story in her own words…

“I came to The Movement as an absolute, last ditch effort. Days before attending a free seminar The Movement held at Southern Methodist University, I’d had a complete and total meltdown. (We’re talking tears, snot, plopping down in the middle of the sidewalk despite passing bikers and walkers…the whole nine!) I’d been diagnosed with systemic candida (a yeast overgrowth that had spread to my arteries and organs) almost four years before, and despite cleanses, fasting, dietary changes, home remedies, and lots of holistic meds, I still couldn’t seem to get a handle on it for more than a few weeks at a time. I had unbearable itching in my legs that kept me up scratching to the point of bleeding most nights (and my poor husband awake), bouts of depression and anxiety, weight gain, NO energy…the list was endless. Add to all of that a constant obsession with food that bordered on addiction, and I was a MESS…

After meeting with Craig for only a few weeks, I found the ‘food addiction’ issue nearly obsolete. After eating the way he instructed, according to what MY specific body needed, my cravings and hunger vanished. I was astounded! Soon after, we determined that all of the candida treatment was relatively unnecessary, since my symptoms were the result of a food allergy, not of yeast overgrowth. I could have gone on treating candida for the rest of my life and never fully resolved the real issue. No wonder I couldn’t get a handle on it! No one had ever taken the time to deal with me on such a thorough, consistent level before. Add Nutriharmony into the mix, and I literally feel like a new person. I sleep like a baby for the first time in my life, have sustained consistent energy throughout the day (no more naps!), I’ve lost 15 pounds with far less effort than you’d expect, and have developed a healthy relationship with food for the first time EVER. It really is amazing. I can’t thank The Movement enough for ALL they do! I’m STILL learning, still growing. It’s an ongoing process; however now it’s one I fully enjoy.”
