burgundyBurgundy Pasture Beef, owned and operated by John and Wendy Taggart, is a wonderful family farm we work with.   The Taggarts have been ranching cattle all their lives and have a passion for healthy food, so they provide the very best 100% Grass-fed beef to the Dallas area.  The great news is that you can come “shop” in our freezer here at The Movement Dallas Organic Co-op and take home some steaks and other cuts of beef without having to pre-order!

At Burgundy Farms, all of the cattle is 100% grass-fed, so they are never fed grains.  [For more info on why grass-fed beef is so good for you, read Brian's article.]  Burgundy’s cattle are free to roam in the lush pastures and eat all the grass they can.  They have very strict standards for the quality of their beef and pride themselves on never using growth hormones or anything artificial with their cows.  All meats are dry aged and stamped “USDA approved” right on the farm premises where they cut and package the meats.

Our favorite thing about Burgundy is the variety of beef cuts they provide.  Typically, you can only find grass-fed ground beef at Whole Foods.  Take a look at some of the wonderful cuts of beef you can get from our studio:

  • Tenderloin Filet
  • Rib Eye
  • NY Strip
  • Chuck Roast
  • Ground Beef – round and chuck
  • Brisket
  • Stew Meats
  • Jerky
  • And much more!
